Order updates that actually get read

Summarise this post with

An order update earns its cost when it prevents a support ticket. That happens when the message arrives at the right moment, says exactly one thing, and offers the next action as a button rather than a paragraph.

Three rules

  1. One event per message. Shipped, out for delivery, delivered — separate messages, not a status essay.
  2. Lead with the fact. The order number and the change go first; the pleasantries go after, if at all.
  3. Make the next step tappable. A Track order button beats a link buried in text.

Do that and reads climb, replies drop, and the channel pays for itself on deflected tickets alone.
